BLQ Fitness Lounge: the new Wellness Center at Bologna Airport in collaboration with Technogym

The new Wellness Center at Bologna's Marconi Airport opens today. It is the very first gym in a European airport developed in collaboration with Technogym and equipped with the most innovative training solutions. The facility is open to the entire airport staff community - employees of the airport operator AdB, as well as employees of other companies operating within the airport grounds - with a personal trainer always available. In addition to be a novelty for the airport industry, the company's gym reaffirms the importance of a rapidly growing trend: wellness in the workplace. The Wellness Center will soon also be open to passengers of the Marconi Lounge, offering a truly unique "passenger experience".
The "BLQ Fitness Lounge" Wellness Center is located on the second floor of the Passenger Terminal overlooking the runway and covers an area of 700 square meters for over 30 of Technogym's most innovative equipment, a training room and locker rooms. Great care has been given to the aesthetics of the space and the architectonic details, making the environment truly unique.

The new gym, developed in collaboration with Technogym, a world leader in the fitness and wellness sectors, is part of an extensive wellness plan that the Bologna Airport company offers its employees and which includes a canteen with an organic inter-company restaurant, an annual health check-up, counselling and much more. The Wellness Center will soon be open also to passengers, who will be able to access the gym while waiting for their flight, as "Premium" services for guests of the Marconi Business Lounge.
Bologna Airport and Technogym have developed a unique and innovative project, aimed at providing not only the latest generation of equipment, but also Technogym’s Mywellness. Thanks to the digital platform, users have access to their own personalised training programmes both on Technogym equipment and on their smartphones, with specialised trainers that will manage the facility and follow the training programme of the visitors.

"We are really pleased - commented Enrico Postacchini, President of Bologna Airport - to offer our employees and Lounge guests this wellness opportunity at the airport. A top solution, not only from a sports and health point of view, but also from a technical and aesthetic one, which perfectly matches our values of customer-centricity, people value and foresight. We would like to thank Technogym and President Alessandri for choosing Bologna Airport to inaugurate the very first Technogym gym in an airport".
